AFRO ENERGY
The Energy to Love

Step back for a moment and stare at the society in which we live. Now, apply your idea of love to what you see, is it there? Depending on what a person's idea of love would be may determine this vision, correct? Which is the point; there is no one idea of love. Though it may be defined, it is not a common practice of America's cultural literacy.

What are the common practices of America's cultural literacy? Well, according to experts in numerous fields of study: politeness, cleanliness, personal responsibility, strong work ethics, education, loyal citizenship (meaning subservience to the laws of the land), patriotism, honesty, thrift and diligence (as far as paying bills on time that is).

As long as one has knowledge in these areas of life, they will fair well. These are principles taught and passed down throughout generations, from the wealthiest to the poorest because these are the guiding principles of American culture.

Religion funnels in occasionally passed as values from family to family but not as eminently as the former. And though America proclaims loudly the foundation of Christianity - from which it stemmed - the principles of Christ are nowhere near as practiced as what matters most in today's mainstream literacy.

Contrary to the database of mainstream values, Christianity bloomed from the essence of God's Son, Jesus Christ, who was born of a woman and fathered by the Creator himself. If pondered intensely enough, one could retrieve the idea of love from that incident alone. "God so loved the World?"

As creations of a being we have not yet scratched the surface to comprehend, we arrogantly live the life granted to us through values and cultural concepts so distant from the very power that created us. Who recognizes love when they see it? Do you? What is love? From whence came we? For what purpose is love a part of us and how do we employ it?

Questions require answers given only from the depths of knowing. One must first know, and know love before they can ever answer. But to know love, that person must understand the gift of God, and His purpose.

Enough. Love is: hating - intensely hating - strife and conflict. Love is despair, when nothing makes sense all around. Love is anger, when innocence is exploited. Moreover, when the unknowing is deceived. Love is confusion, when the wicked reign. All things that defy the purpose of the one who created love are things that we live and breathe and think, and are taught to us each day.

We live in a society that mutters the word but does another. A society that upholds all that is contrary to what we are and were created to respect and observe: what we were and are commanded to do. A society that praises a love, not love itself, but a love for all things not love. The love of money, prestige, luxuries, glamour, beauty in the flesh, pleasure, fantasy and mythological theories of worlds and ideas not birthed from reality.

We live in a society that boasts of things made with hands and fashioned after the thoughts of men. We walk through streets and byways dreaming dreams based on digital concepts of self-worth. We labor, not like the Creator meant for us to labor, but to bring forth fruits of vengeance upon our neighbors.

We live in misery. Life is taught to us by whom, America? What life owns a man except the life that molds that man, (or to be politically correct and subservient to the law), what is the motivation? By what force do we awake at dawn? Is it the force of obligation or is it by the energy to love?
