AFRO CAIN
cainandabel (3K)Where Did Cain's Wife Come From?

The beginning of time and humanity is a phenomena mankind will never know, despite what science or religious relics document or proclaim. The profound mysteries of life are hidden deep within the cosmos of time and existence and we, as a people, can only grow into its revelation. One thing is for sure and cannot be disputed, nothing is absolute, and that is a fact, (pun intended).

Many people, in an effort to excuse away the existence of God or a supreme being that judges the deeds of mankind, argue the question of the whereabouts of Cain's wife using a form of logic that lacks any serious reasoning but instead reveals an intolerance to truth. Some people, however, are genuinely curious about Cain's wife and accept the will of God as His own business.

We have printed the forth chapter of Genesis to walk through and reveal the answer to the long sought question of where Cain got his wife. Afterward, we will expound more on the concept of spiritual revelation as opposed to man's academia and carnal understanding.

The Bible says; Genesis 4

  1. And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD.
  2. And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground.
  3. And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the LORD.
  4. And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering:
  5. But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.
  6. And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen?
  7. If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.
  8. And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him.
  9. And the LORD said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother's keeper?
  10. And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground.
  11. And now art thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother's blood from thy hand;
  12. When thou tillest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield unto thee her strength; a fugitive and a vagabond shalt thou be in the earth.
  13. And Cain said unto the LORD, My punishment is greater than I can bear.
  14. Behold, thou hast driven me out this day from the face of the earth; and from thy face shall I be hid; and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth; and it shall come to pass, that every one that findeth me shall slay me.
  15. And the LORD said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the LORD set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him.
  16. And Cain went out from the presence of the LORD, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden.
  17. And Cain knew his wife; and she conceived, and bare Enoch: and he builded a city, and called the name of the city, after the name of his son, Enoch.

Now, people want to know where Cain's wife came from if there were only Adam, Eve, Cain and Abel on the entire earth, this is the first assumption people make, which is a wrong assumption because of the concept of time.

In the third verse it says: "And in process of time it came to pass," which means over a period of time, yet the Bible never makes mention of how long of a time it was that passed. If Adam and Eve bare Cain first and then bare Abel, neither does it say how long after Cain, Abel was born.

Cain could have been forty years old when Abel was born (for it was known in those times that men lived 900 plus years). Thus, after Cain was born and in the process of time, Adam and Eve could have had fifty other children who wandered to various parts of the land over a period of 500 or so years.

Simply because one passage comes directly after another does not mean that Cain killed Abel the next day after they offered their offerings onto God or that God punished Cain the week after and Cain found his wife that same week. God's time is not like our time. The scripture says that "But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day" (2 Peter 3:8).

Depending on whether or not one believes in the creation theory or not, or believe in God or not, any thinking mind must understand that assumption is a lethal element in the search for knowledge. The carnal mind of man cannot comprehend or make perfect sense of the things around him that he has no real answers for, so any person who seeks to escape the truths of life must realize that revelation comes in a willingness to know.

Other revelations that can be gleaned from the above passage using the spiritual eye:

  • The difference between Law and Grace
  • God's preference of choosing love over tithing
  • The birth of Satan
