AFRO MEN
blackmen (12K)Where are all the Black Males?
By Abdul Hakim Ali

Most black males are in the streets of cities learning the hard way of coming together. Higher education has failed us. Leadership has failed us. Male-female relationships have failed us. Churches, mosques and Temples have failed us. But everyone wants to identify with statistics etc. to wonder where are all the black Males?

Most of you, if not all of you, know what's happening to the Black Race, meaning most of us, because not all Blacks male and female are suffering alike. But as a Race, we all share in the damage, as well as the accomplishments.

We have all these educated females being educated to learn someone else's knowledge. We are a people who need our own knowledge. We also need to respect those who do. For example: Who is your leader?

Every people need a leader. Most Blacks say they don't need a leader, or they continue to accept others as their leader. But when you study knowledgeable people, cultural people, educated people, economically stable people, they all have a leader.

So when you want to find where the males, don't look where they should be according to what society educates you too, look where they should be found and prepare for developing them for the future.

Maybe it's good the women have education of others, then we will know what to really do, and what not to do based on the knowledge our females give us. Most of what females have learned and given to our people need some serious adjustments. Most of our women have gone back to the church, but have not challenged the knowledge associated with what they have been told to believe.

It hurts men to hear eligible women for marriage say "I don't need a man, all I need is Jesus". That is not education, that's stupidity. And no one challenges this type of thinking. Some call themselves a child of God, when we're all children of Adam, Black, Whites, Browns, and Yellow etc. Where did they learn such crazy knowledge?

So, don't be delusional. Black Males are where they belong, because they really are heart broken, giving their all worth and value to everyone but themselves. If society is clearly giving our females the material edge, then the smart women will use her resources to acquire and lead a man to his rightful position. It won't be easy, but through faith and knowledge of each other and God, they'll make a difference.
