AFRO SLAVERY
slaverydead (3K)When Slavery Meant Something
By T. Duffy - AfroStaff

When the title above is analyzed by some people, they will probably think that I as a black person condoned the slavery of my people, but that's not true. My reason for giving this title is to show why slavery was important to this country and the people who benefited from it.

Considering the lack of expertise of the new arrivals and their shortness on unity and social skills, the Native Americans would have never lost their land or lost their lives. It would have been a matter of fighting and dying or eventually being enslaved. If they were later given their freedom, they probably would have only been allowed to live on small pieces of land, yet still remain indigenous. But the long term circumstance for both would be a land that was still undeveloped and wild.

So aristocrats in far away lands knew them natives were only farmers and many uneducated, and they chose to offer the same methods they were using successfully, and hopefully build up this country so they could eventually take a little for themselves. So the idea of using free human labor was never a real concept brought forth in the beginning by the migrants from Europe.

Africans on the other hand were easier to turn into slaves because of white's religious beliefs, not because of the color of their skins. Because of their ability to adjust to most terrains and hardships, they became a viable source of labor for most of Europe and the so-called free world. Even people of the Jewish faith played a part in its success. Eyvger and Sayller connected to Rothschild in Spain formed an agency, Asiento, which operated in Holland and England.

Through these connections, the Jews in Holland and England exerted influence and both of these countries cooperated in helping the Jews provide slaves for the colonists. ("Who brought the Slaves to America", unknown author, book-TGS Service, 22241 Pindale lane Frankston TX 75763).

Some people would probably ask, why wasn't Native American's used as slaves? The reason they weren't slaves is that it would have been easy for them to abscond and return to their people, African's couldn't do the same. But African's biggest mistake after slavery was that many felt they never had a need or reason to reconnect to their people.

But this isn't the history of slavery, it's an awakening to ask why some blacks are still stuck in the role of enslavement and fail to mentally escape. Looking back at the global conspiracy of more than 400 years ago that helped to develop slavery, why would any black person intentionally create transgression towards their people for the sake of so-called equality for all: but for blacks, this idea borders on brink of days gone by.

No, blacks may not be hung whenever someone chooses to do it now, or beaten with whips anymore. So why have they created unnecessary controversy about their ardent behavior without claiming it happened under duress? Their failure to stand up an exercise positive ideas and substance for their people have again caused time to be wasted on social and political fighting. The dialogue that has resurfaced again about certain blacks being sell-outs is now more intense because it seems to be happening now, only for different reasons.

Many feel it should no longer been an issue, because there's no reason for any black person to need favor from the master anymore. But more so, it's because of what they often say and do regarding other black's condition versus motivations. Many things that are and have been important to blacks have gotten negative dialogue and eventually been terminated because of them. In fact, one of the principal advocates against Affirmative Action is blacks.

housenegro (2K)These individuals are often in politics or in the public and will choose to speak for their race, which in most cases only end up benefiting themselves. And regardless of the onslaught of political and social commentary heard daily, these individuals seem to feel its okay to add to it.

It seems to me they are hoping to be rewarded. But my knowledge of history say's the Indian scout ended up on the same reservation as the people they conspired against - their own people. The sad thing about what they do is the people they gratify are the one's who mistrust them the most.

Blacks have struggled and died to have some say-so in the lives, yet acquiring a few credentials, some no longer want to be part of the group. But what is the underlying reason for these people to believe what they're doing is right? Is it genetic, mental, social, economic or just plain stupidity?

Some may feel it's a combination of economics and stupidity. Because some have financial means above the majority of blacks, they may feel they are better and have no commonality of concern. So even if the social aspect is also evident, economics gives more of a reason. But this old theory still stands. Those who fail to look at history are destine to repeat it.

But their greatest accomplishment is to bring a black person from nothing to something, then do the same in reverse.

The days of the old Cotton Club is surely back, where only lighter-skin blacks were privileged to enter. But it means more today than finding a place to feel welcomed, being darker. Today, they don't confess to being even part black, it's now multi-racial or bi-racial. Unbeknownst to some of these mixtures, people of other races listen to some of the things they say and do and shake their heads laughing, while whites encourage the black dissidents to keep us in fighting.

But their greatest accomplishment is to bring a black person from nothing to something, then do the same in reverse. It proves they still have the power to control and determine the future of an entire race of people whenever they chose. Unfortunately, money, again forgives the transgressions of whites, so blacks who are being prepared to feel the sting of what I called "the take down", are not prepared for it when it comes.

Although slavery means nothing today, many blacks who's caught up in "status makes a difference", believe they are better because of it, are still captive in their convictions and minds. Will what I say here change things, of course not because history will show blacks are more apt to perform in this conduct than any other race of people.

But I've tried for years to get some reasoning for it. I even discussed this years ago with a social psychologists professor in college. But they, being white and probably not wanting to deal with me if they thought they said the wrong thing, chose to shrug their shoulders and have no opinion. But many blacks knowing most of the world has darker skin, I would think it should be something accepted with pride. But it seems as though darker skin means the lowest of the low, to some, maybe looking at the circumstances that exist in many of those areas.

But it could also be because some feel that by not being black you would have more privileges, although few are cautious of other people's dark side. Being privileged have allowed some to commit violence and death to anyone who crosses them or just because they could.

But black's failure to step lightly, dealing with other people have caused many to suffer. Whenever you get involved with someone with troubling circumstances, you will also suffer the same, ask Kobe Bryant. It's like sleeping with someone who has AIDS, believing you won't get it.

Although there's no rule of thumb that say's who we should fall in love with, or who we reach out to for friendship, if those relationships are built on assumptions, there's no reason to expect good things to come of them. Different sizes and species of fish swim in the same, river, lake or ocean, but they usually swim amongst their own, known as schools.

One thing they are known to not do is to steer the bigger fish that will eat them to their own kind who are hiding behind the rock. An illustration of what solidarity is and the only difference is it's not something that has to be questioned, because it's an instinctive impulse. But unfortunately, the consequences for any who are self-willed are that they will often be devoured sooner.

So maybe the message is to those blacks who have chosen to abscond from the black experience. Because blatant slavery doesn't exist today, the pain and despair committed upon millions of blacks seem to mean nothing to them today. But there are unused methods filed away in the archives of books and pamphlets that have yet to be used.
