Thomas Duffy on the Issues In this collection of intellectually opinionated essays, Thomas "T" Duffy explores the depths of a society complexed with issues not so easily unraveled by the nations supposed experts. He addresses the most important ones affecting our lives each day and offers reasonable explanations and an analysis of each. Truth of Consequences From A to Z INTRODUCTION Some people may say because I have not the appropriate credentials, I don't have any right to say the things I will say here. But the truth is most people after reading this will admit they have had some of the same thoughts and feelings on these subjects most of their adult lives. And maybe thinking it could offend someone or a group of people, they were reluctant to express them. Such has become my experience dealing with most people over the years, regardless of their race, creed or anything else that would be different then myself. It will be easy to see that the opinions stated here are clear to all who's willing to accept them, although the consequences relative to most of it may not be, especially if someone finds themselves guilty of any. In my experience living all the years I've been lucky to have lived, I've noticed that little of what we do or say centers around the truth, which cause most of us to live with conflict and complications. Very little about how we should do this "life thing" has helped any of us to understand that our personal conflicts and pitfalls are basically because of our failure to accept truth and that it's impossible to achieve what we call "Perfection". Many books and articles often revealed the writer's same attempt to achieve what many of us are still trying to do today to be perfect. Instead, if we realize that none of us were born privilege to anything, and accept that most of us were probably born because of a one night stand or some erotic fantasy of our parents. But my feelings about this, although usually in disagreement with others, have often been determined by my personal observation of how other's spend their lives, trying to live up to the unclear qualities of what being perfect is suppose to be. A perfect home, perfect marriage, perfect kids and living in a so-called a perfect environment has never been true anyway, realizing the world in regards to population is getting smaller. But what are the rewards in believing you've accomplished such things. My thoughts are; it only gives some the opportunity to judge others. Aside from that, it could also be a way to deny someone the same chance to attain the things you have. And the individuals I believe guilty of this, are often those who want other's to believe they're well off. And the way they can avoid revealing who they really are is to attach themselves to people of prominence. Many people are often impressed with people of higher social status, not realizing the methods used to get there is usually seen as being the same at all levels of the society. Although the less fortunate are taught to act the same way, by their observation of the ruling class, this methods never seems to work for them, not knowing few will ever reach their level. The middle-class on the other hand, are poor examples to follow because they often complain they are the only group who's burdened with the problems of the society, but it's often to relieve themselves of any of the blame when falling short of their own expectations. Truth becomes rhetorical excuses used to stay a float, while they depend on displaying of monetary things as a way to keep up their false front. Even today the concern about political preference have become nothing more than a new way of determining who is or isn't a person of success. The wannabee's will go anywhere and will do anything to get their 15 minutes of fame and will spend a large portion of their lives following people who are as weak and mistake prone as they are. They will accept most anything if it sounds good without questioning if any of it's going to work in their favor. And the few, who believe they have all the answers, put themselves at the top because of their alleged right of privilege or because of the ignorance of others. Most people don't like change, especially if it changes the flow of things in their lives. Many say they're concerned about other people but they avoid lending a hand as often as they can. The so-called giver's often choose people to stand in for them, as they lead us to believe they are individuals who's plan is to help the less fortunate towards the so-call American dream. Unfortunately the people they chose to do their work get no recognition and if some irregularity is discovered during the process, they're the first to be sacrificed. So as many people try to get a little bit of the dream, most of the time, by praying to win the lottery, most don't realize all wealthy people didn't get their riches from hard work. Many times, it was because of some past family member's illegal activities, although, many of us have been influenced to believe that hard work is the only way we can get it. The few exceptions whose been able to reach that level, usually find themselves facing those who feel they have no right to have as much as they do because they're not part of the club. Bill Gates and Martha Steward are good examples of the latter who still have to protect their wealth as they struggle to not to lose what they worked for because of constant scrutiny. Again, the wannabee's who help no one agitate and criticize to keep the status quo informed about everything they shouldn't know about. They give up their integrity, believing they will someday be rewarded, and make no effort to understand that when the war was over, they would surely be sacrificed. While they make it difficult for people to just exist, they never consider they will be sacrificed by those they sold out to, and scorned by those who feel they were betrayed. So I think from this point it's easy to understand what I'm trying to say. So because of the categories, I will put to use the alphabet to show categories. First we must understand and look historically at this county to see how it began. Instantly we will see there was a tremendous amount of violence and social dissent. Violence used to convince the people already living here, who didn't understand that their demise was knocking at their teepee. And dissent later, from people who eventually saw that being enslaved was going to be their new way of life. Although I'd never change any Biblical quote, I believe God wanted this land to be overseen by people who would be spiritually and morally connected to him. But unfortunately because of our gift of free choice, some of us chose to live our lives and act bitterly with hatred for those who refuse to conform to what was determined to be contrary to their way of living. So I believe after he saw what had already started amongst his children, he realized we wasn't going to be smart enough to search back historically to see what happen to past civilizations that didn't take heed. So maybe they would see how most of them no longer exist, because of their failure to follow his rules. The biblical story of Lott, who's wife was frozen in time after being warned to not look back at the burning of Sodom, would certainly be a good example because taking a chance to look back could have been a way to save ourselves. Although some people may not believe this story, because it comes from the Bible, the truth is, there is a definite order to things we see around us and we have no control of it. So there has to be order for the masses because few of us have the ability to maintain stability in our lives without rules. Regardless if you're born in a grass hut, in a hospital or some unnamable city or country far away, we're all liable. Each day we say and do things to impress others to make ourselves look better than the next person, hiding the person inside. We use words like "love and friend" only as a way to hide what we really feel. The truth is, we love our cars, clothes and pets better than the people we live and work with each day. When we're young in our rush to preserve ourselves and hoping to live forever, we forget how we make others feel short of their own expectations, disregarding sometimes their very existence. So from here I will do my best to avoid blaming or accusing anyone without giving a clear explanation.
