Hope for Ex-OffendersBy Eric Mayo
As social and political gatekeepers continually pound the phrase 'rule of law' into the heads of the public, it should from now on be ignored, especially by Black Americans or any Americans who work to get by because in the on-going immigration debate, corporate white-collar criminality, and Hollywood celebrity, the 'rule of law' means nothing.....[more]
History has a tendency to repeat itself. While I was attending college; one of my Professors showed old movie scripts made up with African blacks selling their own people off into the bad white man's cruel slavery. I didn't get angry; I just listened and observed his point of view. Interestingly the white teacher of political science and psychology was somewhat right. Because, we can clearly see it taking place today, right now in our 21st century. It is more insidiously sophisticated, that's all!....[more]
Why is it that within America's obviously polluted societal structure, even with all of its celebrated media outlets and their sympathetic communication subsidiaries, starting with the machine of political propaganda designed to encourage progressive "thought" in regards to its governmental practices throughout, even and including its foreign policy viewpoints, can America find the lofty goal of securing its peoples "faith," having always fallen miserably short its intent?....[more]
The going complaint among "American tax-payers" is that they resent having to support welfare recipients out of their hard-earned dollars and the welfare budget should be little or nothing, and rightly so, no country should have a system to support a permanent underclass. Yet, no one complains about having to support America's overblown prison population, especially when Blacks comprise a significant amount.....[more]
As one of the only countries left in the world to enforce the Death Penalty, on November 27 and 28, 2005, the American Justice/prison system has executed a person each day, while trying to make a 1000-execution quota. The curious mind would ask whether or not the American judicial system and those supportive of it and the Death Penalty is getting a rush from this psychotic and questionable behavior.....[more]
The past is never dead; in fact, it's not even past. -William Faulkner In an incredible true story, a 19 year-old New York University undergraduate student was recently arrested and charged with committing three felonies, including criminal sale and possession of a controlled substance, and criminal sale of a controlled substance on or near school grounds - each charge carrying a maximum sentence of 25 years in prison......[more]
In a chilling act more reminiscent of the now defunct Soviet Union or the Nazi regime of Adolph Hitler, the United States Congress passed legislation recently that requires the States to surrender their regulatory rights over driver's licenses and birth certificates to The Department of Homeland Security........[more]
"Id' rather die than go back. They'll honestly have to catch me and kill me because I am not going back on my own", are words quoted by Travonne Lane. What could possibly be so horrible to where you would want to leave earth's existence? Well, it is that second home where most former and present inmates spend most of their lives........[more]
The next time the phrase "do not blame the white man" is heard, ponder the statement instead of allowing it to insert personal conviction. Today's trendy jargon has blurred what is actually true and what is merely trendy jargon. The act of placing blame rightfully is being upstaged by the catch phrase "personal responsibility" in today's society. To place blame actually means that whatever is being blamed is the cause or source of something, for instance, "the storm was to blame for the power outage.".......[more]
A fatal error of any "General" at the end of war, is to believe that it is over. This affords Complacency. As long as there is a "disgruntled" faction of the former opposing side, it is not over.......[more]
Men were not created in order to obey laws. Laws are created to obey men. They are established by men and should serve men. The laws and rules, which officials inflict upon poor people, prevent them from functioning harmoniously in society. There is no disagreement about this function of law in any circle, the disagreement arises from the question of which men laws are to serve......[more]
There was a time when if someone committed a public crime, community vigilantes would batter ram down the criminal's front door and drag them out to the center of town and try them before an authentic jury of their peers. Not anymore.....[more]
Would you say that more Liberal judges are needed on the courts or more conservative judges?
