bride (3K)The Husband Syndrome

A sad dilemma has taken hold of Black America; one that threatens the moral fiber of our people in this country. Aside from the myth of the Black male shortage, or the "cannot find a good man" crises, many Black women have resorted to prayer and faith in God to settle them with the right man. And this new market of Black women searching has been captured by religious capitalist looking to build wealth.......[more]

soulmates (2K)Soul Mates

The phenomenon of the soul mate is deeper than what people think. Having a soul mate does not mean sharing your life with someone who has more than normal similar interest and habits as you, such as liking to read, write, and take walks in the park. No. Having a soul mate is a very delicate experience.......[more]

aolpic (4K)The Kind of Bull AOL/Blackvoices Teaches Black Women

See, articles like the following by an AOL columnist is a problem and why "Black women cannot find a good man." It is this type stereotypical mainstream bull that will send an otherwise good relationship to the trash. If Black women of America are reading such articles and accepting it as normal, or even thinking like this, then this is why Black relationships have problems. No one (man) in their right mind should take this crap seriously. With an Afromerica Interpretation, we will tear this mainstream bull apart.......[more]

noman (1K)Why Women Cannot Find a Good Man

Proof to this theory lies here.

The many variables contributing to this phenomenon actually come down to overcoming one negative attribute of the female mind, which is lack of self-knowledge. If a woman does not know who she is and what her purpose and true nature is, she will never understand how to find (get) a good man........[more]

Doggy and Pussy Rule: A Message For African Liberation
By Ras Jahaziel

In answer to the question "why commemorate African Liberation," the reason is very simple. It makes sense to STOP pulling the plough at least long enough to ask yourself HOW COME more than five hundred years have passed since being BROKEN-IN and enslaved on the plantation, and yet we can barely rest one day from our job of building the master's house?.......[more]

shame (2K)Some Tragic Results of Cheating
By T. Duffy

Within us, we possess a protective mechanism known as wisdom that's supposed to guide us to do the right thing for ourselves and towards others. In the human world, when we fall short they say it was wrong what we did, but in the spiritual realm, it's known as sin. But sinning seems to be less realistic, first because many doubt there's such a thing and secondly, seeing everyone else doing things and getting away with it, sin may not be that serious.........[more]

blkcouple (2K)Black Love, in Modern Day America

Don't say a word, let me guess; you've experienced betrayal, violent abusiveness, (physical and/or verbal,) rejection, disrespect and oh yeah, apathy. You've probably also been forced to wonder, "Isn't there anything sacred?" Now, you've probably also wondered; "If a truly monogamous marital commitment was ever meant to be, then why does it never seem to work?"........[more]

players (4K)The Player's Mind

What's on the mind of a player? First let's define "Player." A player is someone single who dates more than one person at a time. By dating we mean a short to long-term personal commitment, intimate relations, and sometimes cohabitated living arrangements. A person cannot be a player if they are 1) married 2) not having sexual relations with at least two or more of the people they are dating, and 3) having feelings for either of the people they are dating........[more]

blkrelations (11K)A Matured Relationship

Articles about "putting the romance back into your relationship" flood websites and popular magazines constantly and one would think that by now this issue would have been solved. But, there is obviously no remedy and this failure implies that if there is not any or enough romance in a relationship, that relationship has no substance.......[more]

When You Know You've Been Cheated On

couple (5K) Depending on whether or not you were in love and whether or not you are married should determine your reaction. For instance, if you and your spouse have been married for a number of years and they cheat, you have a legal and moral right to be shocked and highly pissed. But if you are not married, first, legalities are not in your corner, and morally, you were in the wrong from the get.....[more]

The Share Program

The share program is when a woman (or man) will agree to share an intimate relationship or commitment with one who has another significant other or spouse. Mainly used by Black women, the concept derived from the rumor that there are not enough good Black men around today. So in a slump of hasty desperation, a woman agrees to be with a man even though he has someone else. How popular is this program?

Never Leave Doubt

The matter of trust in maintaining a good relationship is well known; one that relationship psychologist and columnist stress for couples to acknowledge. Though trust is the foundation of any relationship, on the flipside of the hand, doubt must be destroyed for trust to have any affect. In other words, for one to totally trust their spouse, they must have no doubt that that spouse is faithful. Also, for the other to trust them, they can leave no doubt in the other's mind, therefore, there can be no subtle indications of flirtatiousness (free sexual expression), preferred self-sufficiency (I do not need you), or invocations of jealousy (if you do not want me, somebody else will)....[more]
