Thoughts of a Black Youth

Education or Indoctrination? Part 2
By: I-khan

Now it seemed that I completely bashed the entire "education" system in part 1 of this article, which I did. The reason being is because it needed it, it is overrated, but it does not mean it is completely useless in a path to self-discovery, financial tranquility, or both. In the current world we live in, there is an economic dominating system that permeates all countries no matter what they call themselves, capitalism.

What does that have to do with "education" you ask, the further you go with your formal schooling, the more inclined you are to make $$$ for yourself and the government, if you become an entrepreneur you will still have to pay certain taxes but there is still more $$$ for you.

Remember, the government originally designed the current schooling system for control and for you to be docile, it does not mean that you have to stay manipulated and docile, you can use the $$$ you make or made off of the current schooling system to go out and learn some things, and do some things, that may have more value to you as a person than to others, which makes it your true education.

I personally know high school dropouts that make more money legally than college graduates. Do not go to school and expect the "gospel of truth and all that is divine" to come from the teachers, some things they may say are obviously true, others need to be scrutinized. At the end of the day, that particular data, whether real or fake, may aid you in the climbing of the capitalist ladder.

Perceptions, and depictions, must be changed about the current school system, it is definitely not all "gospel truth", but it does fit the system it serves, capitalism. It is all about money at the end of the day. Get your money using school (or any other mean of learning how to function in terms of $$$ in capitalism) help your people as well as others, and learn things that professors would not even imagine.

Then when you get old you can say that you are educated, because no person on earth is educated until they get old, in mind and body, living and learning are one in the same.
