With the economy the going the way it is, and companies not promising long-term careers, anyone with a need for more money would consider starting their own business. This is one area Blacks must learn to escalate in just to compete in today's racially biased society. Money is the key to everything, from basic survival to accomplishing dreams to helping others. The key to having enough money lies in how to make it, how to spend it and how to save it.

Starting A Business will be an ongoing series from Afromerica that will guide interested individuals into starting a business for themselves. It will address topics such as, the advantages and disadvantages of having a business, discovering your talents for choosing a business right for you, devising a business and marketing plan, when to hire employees and how to relate to them. It will also offer various ideas of types of businesses and what is needed to get started.
