AFRO SURVIVAL
Survival
By Chukuka

Life is like a race
An everyday encounter with a different face
Day after day, both men & women
Expect an aftermath of a particular omen

It is unlike the 100 meters dash
But a race for kind or cash
Raced by the rich and poor
An expected end of benefits to store

A race for survival it is
A persistent distance that doesn't cease
Not the sprint for a medal
But a day to day struggle for survival

Both the rich and poor it affects
Previous failures we try to perfect
And in different ways and times
Comes an aftermath of our initial good deeds & crimes

The weak die slowly
The poor are always lonely
For survival is for the fittest they say
But GOD answers all if we believe and pray.
