But makes its people settle for high drug prices
People can't negotiate for what they need
Drug companies bleed people for cash
At the same time soldiers bleed in Iraq
Soldiers fight for their lives every day
Some citizens use their life's savings to pay for their meds
Both are daily battles
Iraq, Iran, drug companies
Everybody has to fight
Several wars against terror
Death, a constant

Bush says "they hate us for our freedom"
They: Al Qaeda
They: Muslims
Al Qaeda and Muslims
Linked erroneously
Still guilt by association

Bush says freedom isn't free
Simultaneously
Drug companies pass out free meds
Drug companies and Bush
Both trying to look good
Both think they're doing good
While people and soldiers fight the good fight
Iraq is not the good fight
Oil is not more important than blood
Bush: terrorist number one in "The War on Terror"

Fox News treats Bush like a God
Bush and God make no errors
Fighting terror is really a holy war
He believes when Muslims fight
Muslims stage a jihad
Fails to understand
Jihad means "striving in the way of God"
Think he's doing God's will
God's voice tells him what to do
"Divine Strake"
Through bombs he testifies
Bombs represent his faith

Bush equates fighting as faith
A false assumption
Faith is a fight
Actually a battle for right and righteousness
In your soul
In your heart
Faith is also based on reason
Bush doesn't understand faith
I'd say to him: "I rebuke thee, demon!"

I'd try to exorcize the demons from his soul
That may be an exercise in futility
Because he sells his soul and sells favors

Military technology as remedy
To destroy and maim nonwhites

Are all nonwhite people enemy combatants?

Are they animals to be tamed?

They just use God, the flag, and race

They sell it to the poor

Our soldiers die fighting Al Qaeda
Destroying it keeps us "safe"
Because oceans don't protect "us" any more
Many Americans bought this war hook, line, and sinker
Besides, it's easier to kill people with skins darker than white
Bush tells people to relax
Keep spending your lives with ease
It's all under control
Rich people get more tax breaks
America loses its soul

Meanwhile, Bush mobsters
Cover up his tracks
Colin, Condi, and Armstrong work fast
House Negroes for ol' Massa
They're not the only ones

Media mauling the truth to support Bush
Beck, Blitzer, and Brit Hume
Wolfing down what Bush feeds them
Proudly spewing what they "know"
Approved and authorized operatives feeding lies
New Republican talking points for the day

How do Black people fight these evils?
Pay little attention to the Vick, O.J., and Barry news
Let the NAACP focus on those issues
It likes to deal with issues regarding race:
Celebrity troubles and Duke Lacrosse players
It postures to show its strength
Basking in the glow of old civil rights victories
Few young leaders

Here are the heavier issues:
Our unemployment rates
Foreclosures
The lies around Katrina
Dying from silent killers like kidney disease
Why Philly has over 300 murders by September '07
Judge whether Obama is our friend
How 911 is used for political ends

Black people and communities
Historically bend, but don't break
But we are reaching the breaking point
Becoming a doomed community
Where some kids think education is "selling out"
When we favor Black athletes over Black intellectuals
Black churches
Allow itself get rented
Or leased, with an option to buy
(I wish some Black Churches learned to jihad)
"Faith-Based Initiative" monies used as bait
"Bagging the big one"
Capturing and consuming churches

Bush thugs lie in wait around Kuwait
Waiting to rule Mid-East oil
Good 'ol American colonization
We have to speak out on this
We are experts at dealing with colonization
"Colonization" you say?
Yes!
We've been colonized in one way or another
Like being directed to ghettos
Ghettos beautiful or ghetto slums
Job ghettos like Black actors
Playing thugs or playing cops
Or just playing
Job ghettos like a large representation
As custodians or human resources
Business or government
Nothing wrong with these jobs
They're good and honest
Honestly, I'm talking about our glass ceilings
Except in sports
Our athletes raise the bar on athletic prowess
Troubling
Not enough of us are raising our glasses
Celebrating our multi-million or multi-billion dollar deals

We've got thugs in our communities
Running drug empires
But their "empires" pale
Bush thugs getting' paid in full
Getting government contracts like welfare
Thugs, put on some suits, take the grills out
Go legit
Learn the ways of the Bush thugs
Get contracts and provide good (and legal) products
Show them what real bidness looks like
You got business plans
Just work them legit

So, how do we deal?
Show people the Bush/Cheney gods
Money, drugs, war
Jihad to disassemble their evildoings
We vote, protest, speak out and read
We discuss why government budgets are moral documents
We use our moral authority
We tell government how money should be spent
We continue to inject God into our activities
But God isn't always synonymous with church or faith-based programs
Government funds aren't always testaments of faith
They can be tools of control
God can't be controlled
30 pieces of silver or 30 million dollars
Equal amounts
Funds used to pay for deception
Deception turns churches into stores
Churches store dollars
At the cost of ignoring the poor
Money can fuel dens of discrimination
Sparking the fires of injustice
Burning the righteous
Like Salem witch trials
Faith should be burning in our hearts
Not worn on our sleeves

We must examine how our leaders roll up their sleeves
Examine how they work to serve humanity
We explore them
We explore ourselves
As we work in our examinations
We prepare to lift up our nation
We right and heal
We reclaim life
We take back our country
We lift ourselves
We remove ourselves
We escape the road to damnation
