Diversion to the Soul
By Ekt
With understanding of how my left and right coincide,
The weight carried by my soul, the constant struggle with who I am,
What God wants me to become,
And the way...
I need something simple,
A diversion,
Not just hitting the lottery to by the BMW of my neighbors dreams, the house that will spread talk back to Nigeria, the bank account with generations of zeros...
The diversion...if you will,
Is my son calling me Daddy, my wife calling me Hubby, my Parents calling me son, brother calling me brother, and God call me a loyal servant....
My diversion becomes...the breeze that blows in the late afternoon,
Place my heart hides for the world's temptation, the defining moment when I realize that this diversion seeking...
Is nothing more than looking for what I have....
