The new low-carb Atkins diet has forced grocery stores and fast food places to change their menu to certify another cultural trend sweeping the country. And in light of the child obesity crises (another cultural taboo), the Atkins advocates are encouraging schools to adopt the diet plan for the school lunch program.

However, if this were to happen, it would be in direct contradiction to the USDA's Food Guide Pyramid, which 99% of the country grew up knowing, practicing and believing in. Experts say it would take an act of Congress to enforce this trend as an acceptable way of life, possibly reversing a century of scientific fact and cultural tradition.

This is the typical mood of American culture right now. Nothing is sure and age-old traditions and beliefs can change at the drop of a gavel and the whimper of an activist.

The sad part is that once the white American culture adopts this new trend as gospel, Black America - eager to jump aboard the get-white train to culture - will also alter their lifestyles without any research, questions, or second thoughts of their own. Despite the fact that "some doctors say such diets aren't appropriate for growing children and active teenagers."
