Abandoned by today's woman, the oldest and most natural form of feeding a child has been replaced by a byproduct of science. According to a survey by the Ross Formula Company, only 41.3% of African-American women attempted breastfeeding while in the hospital and only 14.5% of them were still breastfeeding at six months postpartum.

Change in the Black Family

Biblical values and tradition gave rise to the nuclear family; where there is a mother and a father rearing the children. In the traditional family, the father worked and provided for his wife and children and the mother stayed home to nurture the children. Not only was this lifestyle a traditional lifestyle, but a biblical concept.
