To many people in America (and abroad) are star-struck. This means that they revere a certain movie star and cannot realistically distinguish the actor from the real person. As an affect of television and movies, society has transformed into a virtual world and away from the real world.

People actually base their actions and reactions on what they believe their favorite star would do in a certain situation in a certain movie or television program. This condition has a tremendous affect on children (and many adults).
