Let it be known and written that not all white people are bad people. All white people cannot and should not be categorized as racist or as children of the devil. There are many whites who have good hearts unaffected by social stereotypes and mainstream profiling and who truly possess the characteristics of compassion, understanding, and God-given intelligence. However, sifting these few out from under the umbrella of plain ole' white folks takes equivalent characteristics. In other words, it takes someone who knows the difference between good and evil to know which whites are good and which are not.

In general, whites are viewed and profiled as any other race of people are. There are labels attached to whites as being arrogant, self-centered, wealthy, smart, and racist just as there are negative and some positive labels attached to Blacks and other minorities. The only difference is that the labels attached to whites have no affect on whites as a whole because they are a majority and have the means to manipulate social perception. However, let it also be known that this is only effective within the borders of America.

The world sees whites - American whites - another way, mainly in a negative way. They see America as her own entity as a field of opportunity while viewing whites in America as worldly imperialist. "Come to America and live free and tolerate the whites who control it" is the mentality. Many whites know this mind-set exist and would like nothing more than to change this view of them. But there are other whites that could care less how the world sees them and would just as well keep America for themselves. Thus, we have the difference between the good whites and the bad.

On a personal level, many people would hold the opinion that one should not care what other people say or think of them yet others want to present a positive image of themselves to others and do care what people see and think. Psychologically, both are natural instincts of any human being. What makes the difference here is that one wants the people they care most about to see them as good and those who they do not care about, they could care less what those people think. This practice holds absolute and is normal.

If some white people could care less what others think of them, it is because they could care less about those others. It is these whites that give life to the profile of arrogance and self-centeredness, and this holds true for any race. It is also these whites who would just as well "keep America pure" because they know that many others see them as arrogant and self-centered. But this attitude is counterproductive because if it were not for the arrogance and self-centeredness, others would not see them this way.

An attempt at shedding negative stereotypes against oneself shows a proactive step toward racial assimilation and basic human oneness. However, being determined to set ones self apart from others based on skin color is a step backward into the primeval, which justifies intellectual inferiority not to mention diminishing the characteristics of compassion and simple understanding. Therefore, whites that show hints of prejudice against other races basically lack compassion, understanding, and intelligence and are arrogant, self-centered and would rather keep America for themselves.

Whites, or any people or person, gifted with humanistic qualities are concerned how others see them and view others with a similar positive image because seeing the good in others means wanting others to see the good in you. Social position, old beliefs and mere time give rise to the racist views America has. Once a cultural bomb shakes the social structure of America only then will times change. Until then, not all white people are bad but as long as they live under the umbrella of American beliefs, they will be viewed this way.
