Going, Going, Clone!

Human intellect and dignity are being placed in jeopardy notwithstanding, the romance of "mad" scientist initiatives have finally erupted into full bloom. These days, one cannot turn on a television set without being bombarded with advertisements including everything from chemically "perfected" sexual stimulants, to chemically "invincible" contraceptives, to chemically "forgiving" supplements for herpes, all to allow continued activity.

When you even loosely consider accompanying hair growth commercials, and one-hour miracle diet commercials, it becomes easier to see exactly what these advertisements are, "Snake oil" salesmen. Yet billions of dollars are spent every year on these products.

Besides an inhuman amount of time, money and effort being spent on the focus of sexual activity, one would think that from the 1800's, when "snake oil" salesmen were in their hay-day, humankind would have grown up. Not true.

As gullible as ever, humankind flocks towards the direction of any honey-tongued demon in the mainstream with the promise of the fountain of youth or eternal life in his pocket. The pharmaceutical companies are out of control as it is, but add genetic engineering to the equation, and as expected, you have the greatest of atrocities, chaos.

Chaos, being the direct enemy to order, is solely responsible for all enemies of the Black community from our inception, to have propelled themselves above our basic dignities and contentment's, as is evidenced even until this day. The more confusion an enemy can throw at you, the easier it is for him to control you.

And were not "outta the woods" yet! Remember genetic engineering? I think the subject was lost (temporarily or conveniently,) somewhere between the tragic events of 9/11, throughout the current events surrounding Iraq and the tragic loss of life there. What amount of confidence am I required to place in the initiatives to cloning? Will I, or any of my people, reap any of the benefits? Will there be any benefits? Or will there simply be nightmares?

I remember as a child watching Saturday morning cartoons, where in some, the psychotic, mad scientists' plans to rule the world, were always, somehow foiled at the end. But I was a child. I never expected to "grow-up" facing a real mad scientist. One must be mad to experiment with life this way: period.

Humanity is in trouble! Not the kind of trouble that only a super-hero can come to the rescue of, but the kind that will allow the tampering of life to be fully conducted. I say again…. Going! Going, Clone! Humanity has gone to the belly of hell, and I kinda doubt the "clone" will save it.
