Infringement On Our Lives By T. Duffy Things just don't happen unless there's a reason. So many times, seeing or hearing about bad things that makes us cringe sometimes cause some to actually believe it's the will of God. But that thinking is probably a way to avoid accepting the reality. I don't think God has any reason to prove to himself by continuously throwing the worse at us. So my contention is this. Besides our indisputable ability to live amongst ourselves peacefully, it's man I'll say, who's purposely found a way to include us in their human game of chance without actually participating, and it's done by intimidating our psychic through television, advertising, the media, religion and the medical and social agencies. Doesn't it sound like everything we're familiar with? So since we have yet learned how to deal with these areas with any moderation, we have allowed them to elevate our fears, doubts and stress levels, to where dysfunction has almost become a normalcy for most people. This is what allows the medical community to sell us most medications that leaves us in worse shape then before we started using their products. So the remainder of them pull in all of our senses, using subliminal brain washing to make us believe we're confused, uninformed and not as worthy as they are. But just by showing a reasonable degree of disgust about most of it is the beginning of the recovery. It should continue by realizing blacks are now trying to mirror their lives by what they see on television. But also realizing why reality television has become as important or more important than their own lives. Black folks at one time, lived free of mainstream. But younger blacks are now motivated by the interest of others, only to get pulled in and get what's left. Instead of believing they can lead and control their circumstances, some still function as though they still have to tread lightly as blacks did under the rule of Jim Crow. Yet they return to their neighborhoods to wreak havoc. Although blacks years ago had their own way of dealing with some of their most secret situations, today most have no qualms about doing the same anywhere they can. I heard a black woman on the Tyra Banks show recently say she married an oriental so her children would have better hair. The consequence of that kind of dialogue allows the social community to open their books and rehash many of the old theories about blacks inferior complexes. Guess who's laughing and who could be angry because of that statement. So because of personal issues, blacks have also allowed the so-called social experts to come into their communities to tell them how they should be raising their children. There has become no limit to what whites and [black sympathizers] will do to disrupt our lives. Just raising your voice one octave above a sneeze could be considered abuse. Yet when these children are removed from homes that are allegedly abusive, they end up being stockpiled with other black children who already have no future. But the most obvious and reasonable opposition to this is knowing even with authority, we can't and don't go into the lives of whites and do the same. Since credentials do not assure them our opinions are as credible as there's anyway. So as we give in to their demands, the media gets a hint about it, then they search for more, and it's no longer an incident, but often national news worthy. The churches have become a place not to worship, but to moan and groan about their problems. Few understand those books of the bible were written by men under duress, who had to follow the ruling of a minority instead of searching for truth, so their so-called relationship with their God would be more fulfilling, they except what they're told, hoping for salvation and frequent miracles to ease their pain. Sometimes I wish there was a way to bring back all the blacks who's no longer here. Maybe they could show those who are here, how to move cautiously amongst the opposition, to prevent the exile of their chances in life when the agencies bring forth statistics, that's allegedly positive about us. We may get overwhelmed by it considering most are negative, but it's nothing more than a blueprint for those who suddenly know from what area they should take over the next time. If you don't believe it, let the media print something about any success, or potential of certain black neighborhoods. Soon afterwards, they will be milling through that area, speculating to move in to make it look like it's there's. Take a look at Harlem in New York City and more recently areas in Atlanta Ga. and Hardeeville SC near Hilton Head. But I usually have to reiterate, it's not people who's going through many of the same social or financial things as we are. It's self-serving whites with money that believe they have more of a right to enjoy what we've done. So the easiest way to do it, is to throw a wrench in our situation, to make us believe it would be better if they're included. But it's really discouraging our efforts and playing down our ability to do most things without their infringement. Look at what they're trying to do in other parts of the world that seem to be giving them problems. It's because people in those parts of the world have probably experienced what they're capable of doing. But we're not a nation of people so we must learn to be silent about what we're doing and less public about our accomplishments. They will see them. Since past situations where we have been considerate to let some in, only to discover they were really observing what information they're going to take back to their meeting place.
