"The Sudan People's Liberation Army SPLA leader John Garang is a Christian of the minority Dinka tribe with a degree from Grinell College (Iowa) and advanced degrees from Iowa State, and with military training from the U.S. Army's Fort Benning in Georgia. Originally based in Ethiopia, the SPLA shifted to South Sudan and Uganda after rebel leader Yoweiri Museveni seized power by force in Uganda in 1987. Several factions often at war with one another, the SPLA has for years received covert military support from the U.S. and its clients. In 1996, the U.S. sent nearly $20 million in military hardware through the front line states of Eritrea, Ethiopia and Uganda. Since then the US has escalated its covert support but U.S. military assistance is also routed through Egypt and Israel, who have trained rebels and shipped weapons via Eritrea, Uganda and Ethiopia. In 1998, U.S. military assistance to Egypt was $500 million, and to Israel $1000 million. Uganda has contracted Israel to refurbish four Russian Mig fighter aircraft recently acquired." The roots of the current fighting in the Sudan go back even before the 1950's. It is unreasonable to imagine the proud Africans whose ancestors contributed much to the foundation, formulation and rise of the Nile Valley civilizations acquiesced themselves to being ruled over by Arabs. Like their Caucasian relatives/cohorts, the Arabs have a distinct racist orientation and disposition when it comes to dealing with Africans that goes back thousands of years. It is one thing to demand freedom, autonomy and self-determination, it is quite another to begin the arduous work of liberating oneself from the stranglehold of a brutal oppressors. The Arabs were not going to give up their hegemony and rule without a fight and the Africans would need arms and tactical support to secure their freedom. The leaders of the liberation struggle looked for potential allies for weapons and support. Into this breach readily stepped the United States and Israel each with their own particular reasons; freedom and love of Africans were not part of the mix. The Israelis became involved as part of their ongoing geopolitical strategy of extending their influence while steadily undermining the hegemony of their Arab enemies in the region. The AmeriKKKans utilized their age old stratagem of divide and rule, they seized the opportunity to sell more arms in the region, to foment even more discord to prevent a unified "Third World" front against European and Euro-AmeriKKKan imperialism and neocolonialism. The current crisis in the Sudan is the result of the confluence of the above mentioned forces and players plus the added geopolitical factors of large reserves of oil and gold in the Sudan, control of the mighty Nile River, its proximity to and access to the "Middle East" and the African interior. Isn't it ironic that when Bush and Co. wanted to invade Iraq to steal their oil, save the US dollar and further Israeli interests, by undermining a viable Arab government, they said they didn't need UN support or validation. But after the debacle in Iraq, now to intervene in the Sudan to get their oil and gold they want to go in with UN support?! Under the guise of humanitarianism the US and its puppet creation the United Nations will attempt to intervene and interject US or UN forces in the region. We must keep in mind saving starving Africans or stabilizing the country are not their real reason or purpose. Our history in the belly of the beast should shed light on the situation. How can a government or people who have never shown any real compassion or empathy for the human or civil rights of the people of African ancestry in their midst be expected to have genuine concern for the survival and rights of African strangers thousands of miles away? It is all a sham, a ruse and subterfuge. Arabs have been raping mutilating and killing Africans for over thirteen centuries and Europeans have been doing likewise for over five hundred years. Based upon our experiences we should see through their rhetoric to discern their real motives. The Israelis are not motivated by bogus humanitarian values, their interests in the region in general and the Sudan in particular are purely geopolitical. So when the mass media shows the social displacement and suffering going on in Sudan, have empathy for our people but keep in mind the real motive of the mind control apparatus is to condition us to go along with whatever the racist multinational oligarchy's agenda is. In addition to our empathy, let's inform and galvanize African people around the world to lobby and demand the US and UN do the right thing in Sudan.
