herbert harris (2229K)The Twelve Universal Laws of SuccessHerbert Harris
Afromerica Columnist

Herbert Harris entered Columbia University after his junior year of high school. He received a special scholarship to attend Columbia without first completing high school.

Graduating from Columbia University with a BA degree, majoring in physics, Mr. Harris did research in theoretical and high-energy physics.

Leaving the scientific arena, Herbert worked at Time Magazine in New York City before launching a freelance writing career. He teamed up with Lucien Farrar to write How To Make Money In Music, a highly popular guidebook to the music industry, published by Arco/Prentice Hall.

Herbert Harris took advantage of the New York State Clerkship Law to become a lawyer without attending law school. Harris worked in a law office, taught himself law, and passed the New York State Bar Examination. Herbert is probably the last person to be admitted to practice law in the State of New York without ever attending law school.

Retiring from his law practice, Mr. Harris pursued a full-time writing and lecturing career. He writes Thoughts For Success, a nationally syndicated newspaper column to over 200 newspapers. A collection of these newspaper articles were assembled into a book called Power Thoughts For Your Success.

Herbert has forever been a student, actively pursuing his psychological, religious, esoteric, philosophical, and metaphysical studies with numerous teachers including: Dr. Eric Butterworth, Dr. Johnnie Colemon, Tom Danley, Dr. Frederick J Eikerenkkotter, Tony Robbins, Dr. Robert Schuller, and H.H. Brahmrishi Vishavatma Bawra Ji.

His latest book, The Twelve Universal Laws of Success provides an organized, straightforward, step-by-step approach to basic success principles and the laws under which they operate. This book has attracted worldwide attention and has been translated into many languages including Chinese, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish.

Mr. Harris has done numerous seminars, workshops, and lectures at churches, universities and corporations throughout the country, including: First Church of Religious science, University of North Carolina, Ohio State University, African Methodist Episcopal Church, Lucent Technology, Small Business Technology Development Centers, University of North Carolina, Tom Danley “Tape of the Month” Company, Chambers of Commerce, municipalities, Boards of Education, and National Safety Associates.

Harris also developed LifeSkill® Workshops for Parents and Achievement Motivation, an interactive skills development course designed for parent empowerment and workforce preparedness.

Mr. Harris is personal coach, sales trainer, and Master Facilitator. He is co-founder, organizer, and Master Facilitator of the Community Action Group, a citizens advocacy group that was named Community Organization of the Year by the Human Relations Commission.

Herbert also heads Connections Unlimited, a political and marketing consulting firm that successfully handled city, county and state political campaigns.

Mr. Harris, in high demand as a consultant, speaker, and facilitator, divides his time between writing, speaking, and conducting LifeSkills® Seminars & Workshops.
